BBHS EVERY 15 MINUTES PROGRAM ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION
On Wednesday, May 20th and Thursday, May 21st, Big Bear High School will host the Every 15 Minutes program. This nationally recognized program is designed to educate students about the dangers and consequences of distracted and impaired driving. The program is titled “Every 15 Minutes” because, on average, someone in the United States is killed in an alcohol-related traffic collision every 15 minutes.
As part of the program, a simulated traffic collision will take place on Maple Lane during the school day. In coordination with local law enforcement and emergency personnel, Maple Lane from Big Bear Blvd to Baldwin Lane will be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC on Wednesday, May 20th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
⚠️ Please be advised:
• There will be NO DRIVEABLE ACCESS to BBHS during the closure
• There will be NO entrance or exit access to the student parking lot
• Students and families should plan accordingly for pickups, drop-offs, or early departures
For additional information or assistance, please contact the BBHS Front Office. Thank you for your understanding and support as we provide this important educational experience for our students.
Please note that this program is intended for BBHS students and is not open to the public.
