WHAT IN GOD’S NAME IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO make changes.

And you wonder why no one wants to live in the city of Marietta?

First we lose a Movie  theater, then a bowling alley, And now… we’re losing a swimming pool for those who can't afford a pool for their own house?

Are you freaking kidding me?

If this city had voted for Anne Labes for mayer we wouldn't be where we are now.

The republicans that are running this city are selling us residence out.

They want to make sure that we… don’t thrive.

That we are to go somewhere else for anything.

For 33 to 36 years I’ve lived in a town where there is practically 0 opportunities and Marietta city republican officials want to take anything away from this town, simply because they don’t want to pump money in to anything.

The republicans want to continue to cut money off and spend it on their own selfish interests.

They want no new businesses in this town.

They want no safe venues for our children to go to such as a Swimming pool for God’s sake.

Living in Marietta was the best decision I’ve ever made.
I love this city, but I certainly do not like what our rightwing MAGA officials are doing to it.

Hell you can't even have a choice about what Ma*****na dispensary and we only have to deal with one, and as a result, people who want to get Ma*****na now that it's legal and once the dispensaries start selling it they don’t plan to get it here because we won’t have a choice but Columbia care.

As a result Marietta city Cannabis users myself included have to leave this city for a variety of dispensaries because our republican city officials don’t believe in the freedom of choice.

It is past time for a change.

It is past time for changes.

And all city residence want to do is nothing but roll over and just say o well, there’s nothing we can do about it, let’s just do nothing and let it happen.

Shall is past time for pieceful protests and demonstrations.

No rioting of course, but it is time to stop living in this oppression that our republican city leaders want for us residence to live under.

We are now in the middle of the 2nd week of 2024, and we are all sleepwalking.

We are sleepwalking into yet another 2020.

We are sleepwalking right towards FASCISM.

We are sleepwalking into COVID19 once again.

And nobody cares.
Nobody even wants to care.

18% of Americans have gotten the new COVID Vaccine.

That is a stunning number.

Newsflash Everyone this is not a booster.

This is a new Vaccine.

Are we clear on that?

4 years after we discovered this illness, we still have to put up with total Covidiots who could care less about anyone including themselves alone.

On top of that, nobody wants to vote.

We have a man who already took this Country strait to Hell and gave us this virus.

And the public, especially in Southeast Ohio and Northwest West Virginia and all of the MOV in which I know a lot of you in which I am not pointing out and or naming names.

They want Ohio to be a fascist federated state.

When you have done, that, Vote blue in March in Ohio, and May in West Virginia.

If the maga republicans are voted back in office in November of this year, We will have ourselves to blame for that.

Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine: Hear Him Out, What If They DIDN'T S**t On Trans Kids?

Snake Oil Salesman Mike DeWine does, on occasion, actually think for himself.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine did something very surprising for a Republican today — he vetoed the Enact Ohio Saving Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act, a bill that would ban gender-affirming care for trans youth and barred transgender athletes from competing in girls’ and women’s’ sports.

Unfortunately, the state Legislature does have enough votes to override the veto, but whether they will or not remains to be seen.

DeWine said his decision comes after speaking with physicians who provide gender-affirming care, families impacted and lawmakers.

"I've also listened to youth and parents. Parents who have told me if not for this treatment, their child would be dead," DeWine said.

DeWine touched on the complexity and impact of the bill. "The consequences of this bill could not be more profound," DeWine said.

"Ohio would be saying the state, the government, knows better than the two people who love that child the most, the parents," DeWine said.

"I can not sign this bill as it is currently written," DeWine said Friday, announcing he vetoed the bill.

DeWine previously opposed another bill meant to ban trans kids from sports, saying he thought that should be left up to the individual sports teams.
Is that great? Certainly not. But it is better than what the other members of his party want.

I disagree with Mike DeWine on pretty much everything, but one thing I can say for him is that he’s not a hysterical bandwagoneer. He has, on more than one occasion, demonstrated an ability to take in new information and make up his own mind, independent of right-wing talking points — and that is something for which we should always give credit.

He has pushed for (some) gun control after the shooting in Dayton, his COVID response was excellent, and this latest move is to be commended, whatever the eventual outcome.
It’s the people who mindlessly repeat the same slogans and bad jokes and incorrect “facts” without ever even bothering to confirm whether or not they are indeed true who should scare the absolute crap out of us, as they are both stupid and dangerous.

This is the number one issue the Right is up in arms about lately, and for any one of them to calm the hell down and actually listen to the people affected, listen to experts and openly disagree with their party, is a very big deal.
Especially given that conservatives very specifically want people to remain ignorant about this, and practically everything they’ve done has been in pursuit of that goal.

DeWine has asked the state Assembly to work with him on this (whatever that means) instead of just overriding it. That would be nice and we hope that happens — or that if it doesn’t, a nice judge somewhere in Ohio tosses the bill out just like a Louisiana judge did when the Louisiana Legislature overrode John Bel Edwards’s veto of their version of the SAFE Act. It could happen!
