The ultimate networking hack for future military physicians. 🌐

Trying to learn about military medicine from online forums only goes so far. If you want real, unscripted insights into what this career path actually looks like, you need to hear from the people living it. Enter the Military Medical Community (MMC)—our premier national networking platform built to connect prospective applicants with current medical students, physicians, and program directors.

Here’s how our monthly virtual meets work:

🕒 Hour 1: A deep dive into a specific medical specialty featuring a panel of three active-duty military physicians.

🕒 Hour 2: Open face-to-face breakout rooms where you choose who you talk to—whether it’s recruiters, admissions staff, or current USU students.

Our next live virtual meet is happening next month on July 13th. 🔗 Stop guessing and start building your network. Tap the MMC link in our bio to add the July 13th session to your calendar!

Next Wednesday, June 17th, we are pulling back the curtain. Our admissions counselors are hosting a live Virtual Application Workshop to help you understand our holistic process and give you the tools to submit your strongest possible application.

🔗 Don’t leave your application to chance. Tap the link in our story to register for June 17th!

This Memorial Day, USU students and faculty came together to do the Murph workout to honor those who have died in service to our country. The workout is in honor of U.S. Navy SEAL LT Michael Murphy, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2005.

First-year medical student, ENS Stephen Eicher, a former SEAL and medic, organized this workout to honor LT Murphy and the countless others who gave their lives while in the uniform.

Yesterday, April 28, students and faculty at USU participated in Denim Day. It is an internationally-recognized annual event aimed at demonstrating solidarity with survivors of sexual assault and harassment while promoting awareness and education about sexual violence.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, and the SPEAR student group, or Students as Peer Educators and Advocates for Reform, have placed educational resources throughout common areas, hosted outreach events, and even “chalked the walk”, encouraging members of the community to write empowering and supportive messages on our outside walkways.
