Berwyn Township, with a population of 57,250 (2020 census) and over 22,000 households includes the area bounded on the north by Roosevelt Road, on the south by Pershing Road (39th Street), on the east by Lombard Avenue (west side of the street only), and on the west by Harlem Avenue (east side of the street only). Berwyn Township was established by the Illinois Legislature in 1922 as one of the fe

w coterminous townships in the state. Please note that the Township and the Berwyn Public Health District are two separate and distinct governmental bodies with separate governing Boards. The Township and Public Health District moved to their present headquarters at 6600 W. 26th Street in 1939. Built for $50,000, construction of the building was made possible by federal grants under the Works Progress Administration (WPA). El fin de semana pasado, la Oficina de la Asesora de Berwyn organizó un Evento de Apelación Via Auto-Servicio, ayudando a los residentes a presentar sus apelaciones de impuestos a la propiedad de manera rápida y cómoda.

Un enorme agradecimiento a nuestro increíble equipo y a los funcionarios electos que asistieron para apoyar el evento a pesar del calor. Gracias al Distrito de Parques del Norte de Berwyn por permitirnos utilizar el estacionamiento del Centro de Actividades Joseph C. Vallez para llevar a cabo este evento. También queremos agradecer a Gorditas Don Angel por la comida para el equipo, a Sandra y a los socios de Re/MAX por ofrecer refrigerios, a la Ciudad de Berwyn por ayudarnos a difundir la información en la comunidad y al Departamento de Policía de Berwyn por ayudarnos a dirigir el tráfico y garantizar la seguridad de todos.

Last weekend, the Berwyn Assessor’s Office hosted a Drive Thru Appeal Event, helping residents file their property tax appeal quickly and conveniently.

A huge thank you to our amazing team and the elected officials who came out to support the event despite the heat. Thank you to North Berwyn Park District for allowing us to use Joseph C. Vallez Activity Center parking lot to make this event happen. We also want to thank Gorditas Don Angel for keeping everyone fed, Sandra and Re/MAX partners for providing refreshments, City of Berwyn for helping us spread the word throughout the community, and Berwyn Police Deparment for helping us direct traffic and ensure everyone’s safety.

If you haven’t filed your property tax appeal yet, there’s still time! Join us at our next appeal event at Pink Owl this Thursday, June 18, from 11 AM - 1PM. ☕️💕
