We had a great time taking part in the annual Route 66 Car Show and spending the day with our community along historic Route 66!

From our officers and Police Explorers to our Honor Guard, we were proud to be part of another great Berwyn tradition. A special thank you to the community members who stopped to say hello, showed their appreciation for law enforcement, and shared so many great conversations with our officers throughout the day.

On August 26, 2026, at approximately 8:04 a.m., Berwyn Police Officers responded to Pristine Barber Lounge, 6306 Cermak Road, for a reported commercial burglary. Upon arrival, officers found the front door glass shattered. Surveillance video provided by the business owner showed that earlier that morning, three offenders forced entry into the business and stole several barber tools and a television.

Through a prompt follow-up investigation, Berwyn Detectives identified and located one of the offenders, Martavious Williams, who was taken into custody on August 27, 2026, at approximately 3:25 p.m. without incident. Mr. Williams was charged with: one felony count of Burglary, one felony count of Theft, and one misdemeanor count of Obstruction of Identification. At the time of the arrest, Berwyn Detectives learned that Mr. Williams also had seven outstanding warrants and was subsequently charged accordingly. This investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue working to identify and locate the remaining two offenders.
