Hello Neighbors! Citizens of Berthoud here...
First, we want to wish each and every one of you a Happy Easter. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day here in our beloved community!
We know many of you are filling out ballots this weekend, so we wanted to share a quick note.
You may have received a text message from the campaign opposing us. We know this election can already feel confusing with the no and yes, and yes and no - so we want to be very clear:
We will never text message you.
One of the statements in that message was also misleading. It claimed the Revere project was supported and recommended by town staff and the planning commission.
That is not accurate.
Town staff and the planning commission do not decide what is best for the community. Their role is limited to reviewing whether a proposal meets basic requirements under state law and town code.
Decisions about what is right for Berthoud belong to the community.
For years, residents have consistently spoken up as plans for this property changed and evolved. There has been a long timeline of community involvement around what should happen at this critical intersection and gateway piece of land at the northwest corner of Hwy 287 and Hwy 56 (CR8).
We’ve put that full timeline on our website, and we encourage you to take a few minutes to review it here: www.No1AYes3ABerthoud.com
If you have questions this weekend or heading into Tuesday, we’re here. Put them in the comments, send us a message, or email us at [email protected].
Ballots are out now!
• NO on 1A repeals the plan to squeeze 81 homes into 10 acres at the critical 4-lane, high-speed intersection of Hwy 287 and Hwy 56: The gateway to Berthoud.
• YES on 3A sets guardrails so this key piece of land grows thoughtfully, with community-serving uses instead of unchecked development pushed by big city developers.

• Return your ballot by 7 PM on Tues, April 7
