Oh and for THE RECORD, it was JERRY EDWARDS who FIRST sounded the alarm on the HORRIBLE condition of the Harbor Towers building, cause he LIVED THERE! Others legitimately joined in on the crusade afterwards.

HE was ignored by city officials and was even told he lost his ability to live there and in fact put in an order for him to stay away from it.

It was only after the story gained national news that the city began to take notice and started DOING something about it, which has now built momentum regarding the conditions and subsequently took credit for it.

Mr. Edwards has advanced the welfare of the areas children, came out of his pocket OFTEN to help revitalize the parks of Benton Harbor, along with the help of several youth volunteer organizations, even BEFORE he was ELECTED Commissioner of the 2nd Ward back in 2019.

He WILL make sure our youth are prospering and our parks receive the maintenance and growth our community deserves.
