June 17 is National Root Beer Day to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy the refreshingly frosty soda known as root beer. Celebrating this beverage holiday is as easy as gathering some friends and sharing a frosty mug of root beer.

LONG MAY THEY WAVE!! Each year Benson Clean And Beautiful and Rotary Club of Benson partner to put out flags on 11 holidays. For only $40 for the year which is from January 1 to December 31 you can sponsor a flag along Benson‘s fourth Street. National Flag Day happens each year on June 14 to honor Old Glory and commemorate the adoption of the United States flag on June 14, 1777. The holiday is a day that Americans show respect for the U.S. Flag and what it represents.

A HUGE shoutout to Chris Tynes for yet another incredible donation of his concrete “people”. All money from his last art and this go directly towards the murals in Benson.
This art was donated in honor of Doug Quarles our resident muralist who tragically passed away on June 30, 2026.
