As Belmont advances towards future decisions… the time for fresh, trusted leadership is now. I know that our city works best when all neighborhoods are represented and all sides work together for a common goal. Fostering our enterprising local businesses, safe neighborhoods and beautiful open spaces must be a team effort. I am running to bring a fresh new approach to city government, one that acti
vely seeks community feedback and cooperation. Together we can make a better Belmont, now and for future generations. My Goals:
• Promoting sustainable local growth. We can transform available areas of our city into vibrant new districts through smart planning and community input. I support reducing unnecessary regulations that hurt local job creation.
• Preserving the effectiveness of our Police Department. Our city is safe because of our outstanding police force. As more officers reach retirement, we must ensure they are replaced with equally effective and trained new recruits.
• Ensuring our parks are enjoyed by everyone. Our city should explore coordinating with local schools, both public and private, with civic organizations to upgrade existing facilities and make sure Belmont’s youth, teens, adults and seniors have access to open space.
• Fixing our roads and streets. Our roads have been designated as “at risk” by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. We must strategically reinvest in our infrastructure by aggressively pursuing our fair share of funds from State and Federal resources rather than funding from our citizens. Graduating from UCSD with a B.A. in Psychology and a Business focus, I will utilize interpersonal communication skills with a strong sense of business acumen to manage our city finances for Belmont’s economic future. Belmont is a beautiful place to live, and I understand that we must balance the need to attract more jobs to the area, with the need to preserve our rural heritage. I’ve participated in numerous youth activities and volunteer outreach, and continue to advocate housing issues. The decisions we make today are crucial to the Belmont I raise my family in tomorrow. Belmont needs leaders willing to dedicate their time and energy while maintaining open communication between our neighborhoods, residents, businesses and schools, making sure all sides are represented fairly. As your trusted Council Member, I will actively seek community input to better represent YOU! The time for fresh, trusted, leadership is now! Your contribution of $50, $100, $200, up to $250, is greatly appreciated. Please mail your contribution to:
