Belgrade Community Library Our new building at 205 E Main Street is NOW OPEN! The Mission of the Belgrade Community Library is to empower a community of lifelong learners.

Belgrade Community Library has more than 35,000 items in the collection, as well as more than 5,600 registered borrowers. The Library receives more than 6,000 visits from borrowers per month. History of Library

The Belgrade Community Library was established in 1932 by the Belgrade Women’s club. It was housed in the city offices. In 1934 volunteers began building a new log structure on Main Street

and on January 24, 1935 the library moved into the “Log Cabin.” This was home for the library until 1989 when again community volunteers came together and built the facility at 106 N. Broadway and the library moved once more. In 2002, a new addition to the library was built, adding 5500 square feet.

Stop by the library on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 AM to 2 PM for a special NTrak Showcase featuring an operating N-scale model railroad from Montana NTrak, a Bozeman-based nonprofit dedicated to model railroading, railroad history, and safety.

Watch the trains travel through detailed miniature landscapes, get a closer look at the craftsmanship behind the layout, and chat with local model railroad enthusiasts about the hobby.

Whether you are a lifelong train fan or simply curious, there is plenty to discover. All ages are welcome!

Take some time to slow down, reset, and be present with our Mindfulness for Adults series on Tuesdays from September 8 through October 13, from 2 to 3 PM.

Led by Katie Mayfield of the Montana Mindfulness Project, this free six-week series offers guided instruction and practical exercises to help participants build awareness, reduce stress, and bring more intention into everyday life.

No previous mindfulness experience is needed. Come ready to learn, practice, and make a little space for yourself each week.

Join us for Family Movie Night at the library on Friday, Sept. 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. We can’t tell you the title, but here’s a hint: this month’s movie is Choppers without the C.

Follow an animal-loving teen who transfers her consciousness into a robotic beaver and discovers a whole new world of talking animals, unexpected friendships, and wild adventure.

This one-day program gives children the chance to experience a day in kindergarten through fun, engaging activities led by kindergarten teachers from Belgrade School District #44. It is a great way to build confidence and become familiar with the classroom before the school year begins.

Celebrate the end of our Summer Library Program with a day of prehistoric fun on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 11 AM to 1 PM!

Everyone is welcome as we wrap up a summer of archaeology, dinosaurs, geology, paleontology, and discovery. Meet Gobi the Velociraptor from Museum of the Rockies, enjoy a dinosaur themed story and music experience with Music Together, and explore touch tables featuring fossils and Montana gemstones.

Create your own cave painting or fossil, then enjoy free cotton candy and popcorn while supplies last. Activities will take place both inside and outside the library, weather permitting.

Bring the whole family and celebrate a summer filled with learning, exploration, and fun!
