Herd on the Hill Alpines

Herd on the Hill Alpines Herd on the Hill Alpines is a small, but growing, herd of ADGA registered French and American Alpines located in the Ohio Valley. I will post the results.

My breeding herd currently consists of 4 does and 1 buck, but I intend on retaining 1-2 doe kids this year, and purchasing 1-2 more. The bloodlines in my herd include Add-Hill, Munchin'Hill, Roeburn, and more. I should have several kids and possibly a milker available soon. I plan on CAE testing once again in the next week or two. Shawnee is due today...last doe this year! Her udder isn't full yet, so I think it'll be another day or two. She's a first freshener, and I'm really praying for does!

After much thought, I'm offering up my doe Dark Raptor Cool Breeze for sale. She's a coming 5 yr old ADGA American Alpine doe, and is bred to my buck Quill. This was confimed by BioPryn and she is due in July. I'm asking $350, and more info can be found on my website.

Prodigy is due tomorrow! Her udder isn't anywhere near full, and she hasn't lost her ligaments, so she isn't too close yet. If she kids on April 5th, Kurt Cobain's death anniversary, I'll name the kids Nirvana-related names: Pennyroyal Tea [Penny] for a doe, and Floyd the Barber [Floyd] for a buck.

I did the first ''pre-kidding shave'' on one of my does, Heidi, today. She is looking fantastic! She's due next Friday, and I can literally see the kid's appendages bulging out of her side. I'm thinking she'll have at least twins!
