Honoring: Officer Sara Pritchard, School Resource Officer

From Jeni Pritchard: "It is a privilege to honor my daughter, Officer Sara Pritchard. In the short time Sara has been in the school system, she has fallen in love with serving the students & faculty as a School Resource Officer. She loves interacting with the students and proudly displays the artwork kids have made for her. An added bonus is combining her love of athletics by serving as a track coach for the middle school. I’ve always told Sara to find a career she loves, and she has most definitely done just that! So proud of her accomplishments!"

While we are no longer accepting donations for signs, we will continue to share some of the testimonials we've received over the next couple of weeks. Thank you to everyone who donated!

Another great opportunity for Southeastern Indiana SRO's. Batesville is happy to announce that we will be hosting NASRO's Basic SRO course located in Batesville Indiana at our local Ivy Tech building. The partnership with both of these organizations have been great and we hope to continue hosting trainings in the future.

BCEF—Helping Great Staff Achieve Even Greater Things
👏 Congratulations to Batesville Community School Corporation Lead School Resource Officer Austin Gross on being selected for a full-tuition scholarship!

Did you know that as part of BCEF's programming, BCSC staff may apply for scholarships to continue their education (bachelor's degree, master's degree, or Transition to Teaching)? Thanks to our membership in the Indiana Association of Public Education Foundations (INAPEF), our staff may take advantage of INAPEF's collaboration with the American College of Education, which offers these opportunities. Earlier this school year, BCEF shared the necessary information with BCSC staff and encouraged them to apply if they were thinking of continuing their education.

We were THRILLED to learn that BCSC's own Austin Gross was one of only four applicants selected for a FULL-TUITION SCHOLARSHIP!

"It is such an honor to have been chosen," Officer Gross told us. "My plan is to pursue a Bachelor's in Educational Studies."

BCEF. We go beyond the basics for students AND STAFF! Congrats again!

This week we are celebrating Read Across America week at Batesville Primary School where Officer Pritchard and Officer Gross had the pleasure of reading books to many of our BPS grade levels.

This week Officer Pritchard and Officer Gross put on a small self-defense class for our LEAD Program at the High School. We used this time to teach the students on basic self defense skills; punching, kicking, dodging, and blocking. Their participation was great and we commend them for the work they put in. Keep it up!

Happy School Resource Officer Appreciation Day!

Today we celebrate School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, but Officer Sara Pritchard and Officer Austin Gross want to take a moment to turn that appreciation back to the community.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support and trust you place in our team as we dedicate ourselves each day to keeping our school communities safe. Your partnership means everything to us.

We love and care for our Batesville Bulldogs as if they were our own. It is an honor to serve them, support them, and strive every day to lead as positive role models both inside and outside the school walls.

Please help us in welcoming Batesville Community School Corporation’s new School Resource Officer, Officer Pritchard.

Officer Pritchard comes to us from the Syracuse Police Department with training in Crisis Intervention, Accident Investigation and Drone Operations.

Shout out to our Batesville Community School Bus Drivers today for their quick thinking and flexibility. This morning one of our busses broke down on Pocket Rd. near Cricket Ridge. Officer Meyer went out to provide some lights and assisted students onto another bus and everyone was able to get to school safely and on time. Thank you to our bus drivers!
