As PRIDE OF BALTIMORE II joins the Sail250 celebrations along the East Coast this summer, she will be carrying more than crew & passengers. As part of America's Star-Spangled Ambassador: Legacy in Motion, a remarkable group of filmmakers, historians, journalists, writers, educators, & emerging media professionals will document the journey & share the experience with audiences across the country.

The voyage south from Baltimore will bring together a talented team of storytellers. Documentary filmmaker Justin Black will document life aboard PRIDE & the waterways that have shaped our nation's history throughout the voyage to Norfolk. Joining the ship as far as Richmond will be maritime historian Andrew J. Lyter, whose expertise in Atlantic maritime history will help connect today's journey to the people, ships, & events that helped forge America.

Take a little turn around deck with our chief mate, Taylor, as PRIDE II sails along off Annapolis today. This Friday, PRIDE II will be the ceremonial start boat for the Annapolis2Bermuda Ocean Race & then we turn our sights on Sail250. Over the next few weeks, PRIDE II will travel to Sail250 Virginia ports of Richmond & Norfolk. Then, back to Baltimore for Sail250 Maryland & Airshow Baltimore. From there up to New York for Sail4th 250. And closing the party out with Sail Boston.

We shot this video for our students at Isle of Wight County Schools who have been learning about PRIDE II over the past few months. But we thought you, our , would enjoy it too!

Coming to a tall ship near you soon! In honor of America's 250th Anniversary, we will be releasing this special edition t-shirt featuring PRIDE OF BALTIMORE II & the iconic 15-star 15-stripe "Star Spangled Banner" flag on the sleeve. This shirt will be available for purchase onboard the ship during Sail250 events in Richmond, Norfolk, Baltimore, New York, & Boston. We will also make it available on our online store. Stay tuned!

In case you missed it, we’ve been “ADOPTED”! Over the past few months we have teamed up with Isle of Wight County Schools to share a little bit of our story with students. Recently students sent in some questions for our crew. We took their questions right to our crew for them to answer. Coming in hot! PRIDE II got a little courtesy flyby yesterday from a US NAVY MH-60 Sierra helicopter flying out of Pax River Naval Air Station. An added bonus, one of the crew onboard the helo got some pretty awesome photos of PRIDE II sailing up the Chesapeake Bay. Follow us on insta to see those photos.

Hey Solomon’s! Unfortunately, the captain has made the decision to cancel today's sails due to expected high winds.The National Weather Service has issued a Small Craft Advisory for the Solomons area, with sustained north winds of 15 knots & gusts expected to reach 30 knots this afternoon.

If you are in the area today, we would still love to welcome you aboard. PRIDE II is docked at Fisherman’s Wharf in downtown Solomons & will be open for free deck tours from Noon to 6:00 PM, and you are invited to stop by, meet the crew, take a tour of the deck, & learn more about her history and mission.
