Preemie Moms Rock PMR is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing healthy food, entertainment and a little bit of love and parent-to-parent support to NICU Moms & Families.

PMR is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing healthy food, therapeutic crafts, a little bit of love and in-person parent-to-parent support to NICU Moms & their families. We are the only organization in Maryland supporting parents by going into the hospital to provide a healthy meal and discussion. Our goal is to expand nationwide so we can help Moms navigate the NICU experience across the U.S. Please

, use this page as an online community for Preemie Moms & Dads to share trials, info, and successes. And pictures. We love pictures! Co-Founder Joi's Story
Joi's Preemie, Alexander, was born at 25 weeks and 2 days weighing1 lb 14 oz. She could fit his head in the palm of her hand! Alexander spent the first 4 months of his life in the NICU hospital at two different hospitals and the next 2 months in a children's hospital. But he is now healthy and strong! Co-Founder Natalie's Story
Natalie's Preemie, Andrea, was born at 25 weeks 2 days weighing 1 lb 15 oz. She was so tiny, her and her husband were too scared to pick her up or even do her "cares." Andrea spent 9 weeks in the NICU and came home before her due date. Now, when we share our story, people cannot believe how big and healthy she is! Our Story
We remember how trying it was to be a NICU parent. The stress of having a less than healthy baby, the strain of traveling between home and hospital, the physical weakness after giving birth, sleep deprivation, and the pain of having to leave our babies at the hospital were all very real. With all of those physical and emotional stressors, who has time to plan meals? Who considers going out for a movie or a dinner date? We certainly did not. But those things are so important! We started Preemie Moms Rock for those reasons. We've found that NICU parents (particularly Moms, because we are Moms) neglect themselves. Forgetting to eat and having to grab fast food. Never unplugging to take some time away from the stress. Through Preemie Moms Rock, we hope to provide meals, opportunities to get away, and hopeful conversation to Preemie Moms and families.

Hi ladies and I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! This time in 2014 I had just had my 25 weeker and NEVER thought I wouldn't be able to have my first born home with us for the holidays.

So for those whose baby is in the NICU, they will be home to spend plenty of holidays with you and your family.

QUESTION: As a NICU Mother, what is one thing you wish you had at the Hospotal OR after you left the hospital for YOU?

A. More opportunities for self-care (Hair, Mani, Pedi, ect.)
B. Help with items at home (shopping for food, clothes, nursery, planning baby shower)
C. A spokesperson to handle all communication with family and friends
D. Nothing, everything was great
E. Other (please explain)

Thank you! ❤
