Hey Baltimore! Let’s chat about the importance of cleaning and drying our recycling. ‘Clean it’ is the first of our three Cs. ♻️

Remember, recycling needs to be clean and dry to actually be recycled. The more we recycle, the less trash ends up in our landfills. Together, we can make a difference!

Clean it, contain it, curb it! 💚

Today, Director Garbark, alongside city leaders, provided an update on the emergency response at the Patapsco Wastewater Treatment Plant.

First, our thoughts remain with the individuals impacted and their families. Their safety and well-being have been our primary focus from the moment we learned of this incident and continue to guide every aspect of our response. The safety of our employees, contractors, and everyone who works on behalf of DPW remains our constant focus.

At this time, water and wastewater services remain operational and have not been disrupted.

As multiple agencies continue their investigation, we are committed to sharing information that may impact the public while allowing investigators the time and space needed to determine exactly what occurred.
