🚧 ADOT Weekend Construction Alert

ADOT will close the northbound Loop 101 from I-10 to Thomas Road for construction beginning Friday, September 11, at 9 p.m.
The closure is expected to remain in place through Monday, September 14, at 5 a.m., or until work is completed.

Please plan ahead and use one of the following detours:

🚗 99th Avenue to Thomas Road
🚗 91st Avenue to Thomas Road
🚗 83rd Avenue to Thomas Road

Expect delays and allow extra travel time.

Flood ahead. 🌧️⚠️ Monsoon storms can bring heavy rain in a short amount of time, and roads can flood quickly — even when the weather seems calm nearby.

If you see a flooded road, remember: never drive through it. It only takes a small amount of moving water to create a dangerous situation. Turn around, find another route, and stay safe.

What is Proposition 418?

Proposition 418 is a measure that seeks voter approval for the sale of up to $55 million in general obligation bonds to fund public safety projects. The goal is to enhance emergency response times and provide first responders with facilities for training and operations. Key investments under Proposition 418 include:

- New Fire/Police Substation to reduce citywide response times and improve safety
- New Public Safety Headquarters
- Police Fi****ms Training Facility
- Main Police Station Expansion
- City Court Office Expansion

La Propuesta 418 es una medida que busca la aprobación de los votantes para la venta de hasta 55 millones de dólares en bonos de obligación general para financiar proyectos de seguridad pública. The Avondale City Council has submitted one Public Safety General Obligation Bond proposition to voters for an election this November. Proposition 418 invests in fire, emergency, police, and court facilities and improvements.
