It’s officially 2026 and I am officially a new Member of the Avon Board of Education! I am honored to serve and I want to thank each and every person who came out to vote during our recent Municipal Election.

And, of course, a big congrats to Kevin McGarry, who will be joining me this month on the BOE!

I have been out at all 3 polling stations throughout the day beginning with set up at 5am!

Saw friends, neigbors and made some new connections that were important. I am grateful to experience Election Day in a new way this year.

After a long day of parenting, sign holding and waving, donating truckloads of food with friends to Avon residents who might need it, and even having the opportunity to door-knock on a weekend 😊… here is my goodnight message after getting my 4 kiddos tucked in, asleep, and ready for school tomorrow… Listen to my 1st public video speaking from my heart. What a beautiful day. As I have many of my children’s kids at my home enjoying their childhoods’ together, I get a text message from a fellow Avon mother thanking me for my sign and sending me this picture.

Running for a seat on our town’s Board of Education has NOTHING to do with me. It has everything to do with our amazing children, families and school systems.

I am a mother first. 🥰 I love being able to extend that honor to other Avon children, along with my husband and partner, of course!

We are stronger in numbers. Let’s group together to make Avon even more amazing than it already is!!! 🤩❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
