Originally started in Atlanta in 2012, Community Bucket has continued to grow. Now, in 2017 we've brought this successful social group (Community Bucket ATX) to Austin in the hopes of continuing the legacy. Hence our tagline - Service Made Social. The millennial generation has the lowest overall volunteer rate – 21% in any given year. We want to reverse this trend by giving you a new incentive to
take part in community service. What we do is pretty simple. We plan events that are built around serving a good cause for a few hours, and then meeting at a bar or brewery to socialize and have a good time. Because we do all the planning for, this is the easiest way to find meaningful volunteer projects, put your time to good use, and be sure you’ll meet some awesome people at the same time. Not to mention, there’s no hassle or research required on your end. If you're new to Austin, looking to branch out, or just want a more exciting way to volunteer with people your age, then Community Bucket ATX is for you!
