Que felicidad y que orgullo es estar en comunidad ❤️🇲🇽 The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center had their grand reopening event yesterday! It was an honor and a privilege to have been invited to play loteria and raise awareness to our cause.

This year marks the 14th anniversary of the DACA program. We *still* don’t have a path to citizenship or any permanent status, but Buenas Lotería Club was created to directly impact our Texas-based DACA brothers and sisters.

Our existence = our resistance. 🇲🇽🪅

This past weekend, Buenas Lotería Club partnered with Lincoln Goldfinch Law. We had a legal panel of attorneys answer top of mind DACA questions, alongside lotería, food, and community. At a time when immigrant rights are under attack, simply gathering to play, laugh, and fund renewals is our beautiful way to share our joyful defiance.
