Founded in January of 1950, the College Republicans at Texas is the oldest political organization at UT. In addition to bringing influential political speakers to campus, we also hold rallies, have social events, and assist Republican campaigns in the Austin area. We are a federated chapter of Texas College Republicans and The College Republicans National Committee. We are honored to have hosted g
uests such as State Comptroller Susan Combs, Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst, Senatorial Candidate Craig James, Syndicated Columnist Michelle Malkin, Political Strategist Karl Rove, various state legislators, political consultants, media personnel, etc. We offer leadership opportunities throughout our organization, and we connect members to meaningful internship positions. We take an active role in political campaigns, lobbying, party building, and community activism. We work hard to represent the center-right voice here on campus through media outreach.
