🚨 BREAKING: Due to rising fuel costs and an overwhelming number of tourists stopping in the middle of mountain roads to take photos, Colorado State Patrol has officially announced a new enforcement strategy: mounted patrol units across the Rockies. 🏔️🐎
Officials say the move could save millions while keeping Colorado “rugged, efficient, and appropriately outdoorsy.” 😭
Drivers are being warned not to underestimate a trooper carrying a radar gun while riding a horse that has spent more time on mountain trails than most people spend on I-70.
Authorities say the new patrol units have already been spotted near:
• mountain highways around Vail 🏔️
• scenic roads near Aspen 🌲
• backroads outside Steamboat Springs 🤠
• ranch country on the Western Slope 🚜
• and somewhere near Estes Park where a horse reportedly stopped to admire the elk. 💀
One Colorado driver said:
“I checked my mirror expecting a patrol SUV… and saw a horse coming down the shoulder.”
Meanwhile, Colorado officials remind residents:
• speeding is still speeding
• horses handle mountain traffic surprisingly well
• and yes, the horse probably knows a faster route through the Rockies than your GPS. 😭
Somewhere on I-70, traffic is completely stopped.
The horse is still moving.
At this point, the horse may actually be the fastest thing in Colorado.
Welcome to Colorado —
where the mountains are massive, the scenery is unbelievable, and even the State Patrol looks ready for a trail ride. 🐎🏔️🚔
