A big THANKS to Ms. Bonnie for helping plant some seedlings with a few friends under the Buker Community Center sign! We’ve started most from seed and are hopeful for some season long blooms to greet everyone who comes into Buker! 🌺 💐 🪴 ☀️
Ms. Bonnie helps maintain the gorgeous gardens all around the City and helps out with the busy community center building! Childcare appreciates all she does! 👏

We had so much fun doing a “Name that Truck”contest and “touch a truck” event with our Public Works Department!
Did you know that street sweepers have steering wheels on both sides of the truck?! The kids found double the horns to honk! ‼️ Smiles for all!

REMINDER: Downtown Street Sweeping Continues Tomorrow

Thank you to everyone who moved their vehicles this morning, it made a big difference and helped our Public Works crews get the job done quickly and efficiently!

Be on the lookout for “Lightning McClean," our street sweeper, proudly named by our City of Augusta Childcare- Maine kiddos!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6th starting at 5:00 AM: Augusta Public Works will be sweeping Commercial Street. Please do not park on Commercial Street during this time.

Vehicles should be moved to other available parking areas, including the Dickman Street Parking Garage, the Center Railroad Lot between Winthrop and Bridge Streets, or Mill Park. We appreciate everyone’s continued cooperation as we wrap up downtown sweeping. Hoping for another smooth morning tomorrow!

Busy vacation week but we couldn’t help but share a few of our Earth Day activities! Kids helped clean up the side lawn from a winters worth of pinecones, planted seeds to jumpstart our vegetable garden & made special Earth Day crafts! 🌍 🪏 🪴 🌲

Due to incoming storm, all City of Augusta offices and buildings will be closed. This includes Childcare and the Buker Center.
We hope families can enjoy an extra “home day” and we will see you all on Tuesday!

From lots of outside snow fun to classroom choices, STEM projects, arts & crafts, a talent show (!!) and the always popular “NERF Battles”- we’ve had a busy and fun week at childcare. Thanks as always to our families for sharing the kiddos with us while we make some epic memories
Ready or not, back to school on Monday!!
