Tomorrow is the day! 🎉

Join the Maine Association of Retirees for our 2026 Annual Meeting at the Augusta Civic Center on Wednesday, May 20th!

Registration and refreshments begin at 8:00 AM, followed by a full day of important updates, guest speakers, exhibitor visits, door prizes, raffles, and fellowship with members from across the state.

We are excited to welcome special guests:
📺 Emily Pike, Forecaster/Reporter for WMTW Channel 8
📺 Norah Hogan, Chief Investigative Reporter for WMTW Channel 8

Members will also hear reports from MAR leadership, legislative updates, insurance information, and participate in elections for President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Please be aware that residents in Cape Elizabeth and surrounding towns are reporting receiving emails from scammers impersonating municipal officers and departments.

The Town of Cape Elizabeth will never ask you to send funds via a wire transfer. If you receive an email requesting a wire transfer, an urgent request to update your payment methods, and/or warnings of financial penalties for not taking immediate action -it is a SCAM! Do not respond to the email or click on any links within the email.

Beyond the use of dramatic language, you can verify the sender's inauthenticity by examining their email address. Official emails from the Town of Cape Elizabeth will end with .gov.

The City of Gardiner has been made aware of this activity and it is not legitimate. The Bureau of Motor Vehicles will never send a text asking for money. Please do not click on links and send money. This is a scam!
