Honoring Fallen Soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery

CW5 Lashon White, the 9th U.S. Army Reserve Command Chief Warrant Officer, led a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery today. This event honored fallen Soldiers, Warrant Officers, and Officers in commemoration of the 106th Army Warrant Officer Birthday.

The ceremony was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our brave service members. CW5 White's tribute highlighted the enduring legacy and unwavering commitment of the Army Reserve community. We remember and honor those who have given their all in service to our nation.

We have lost a trailblazing Army leader.

Retired Lt. Gen. Arthur J. Gregg died Thursday at age 96. Throughout his nearly 30-year distinguished career, Gregg broke barriers as the first African American brigadier general in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps. He later became the first African American lieutenant general.

Today, his legacy of service continues as a namesake of U.S. Army Fort Gregg-Adams.

5: Most special operations require non-SOF support

This Week, USASOCโ€™s command team visited West Point - The U.S. Military Academy Robotics Research Center (RRC) and witnessed the bright and innovative minds of cadets establish the future robotic integration within the community. USMA faculty and cadets, in collaboration with DoD research partners, are developing robotic systems that will greatly improve warfighting capabilities within the force. This includes sensor systems that provide early notifications of approaching enemy forces, autonomous robots capable of mapping complex facilities and finding sensitive restrictive nuclear materials in hostile environments, and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) with state of the art object detection capabilities for enhanced situational awareness. This collaboration establishes and maintains advantages against near peer adversaries in the battle space.

The U.S. Military Academy extends our gratitude to Lt. Gen. Braga (USMA Class of 1991) and Command Sgt. Maj. JoAnn Naumann, the Commanding General and Command Sgt. Maj. of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command at Fort Liberty, for engaging with our cadets, staff, and faculty.

Highlighting the week's events, the USASOC command team explored the West Point Robotics Research Center, witnessing firsthand the innovative endeavors of our cadets in shaping the future of robotic integration within the ARSOF community.

The team also attended the Department of Social Sciences International Security Seminar, emphasizing the importance of innovation in addressing security challenges in the 21st century and academia-practitioner collaboration and strategic innovation in shaping future Army leaders and advancing security objectives.

Thank you for your visit and for enriching our community with your wisdom and insights. Here's to continued collaboration and innovation in shaping the future of our Army.

10th SFG conducted a Joint Combined Exchange Training with a Special Forces Battalion and Special Anti-Terrorist Unit in North Macedonia to strengthen interoperability with an allied partner. For a month, โ€œThe Originalsโ€, provided tactical training to our North Macedonian partners enhancing their breaching techniques, bundle drops, demolitions and small arms weapons proficiency.

North Macedonia became a full member of NATO in 2020 after spending nearly 15 years of working towards full acceptance. During this time, troops from North Macedonia took part of various NATO missions, including the International Security Assistance Force and the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan.
