It may be the start of the "Brrr" months, but this summer heat is hanging on!

Today's heat and humidity has prompted an active peak alert for PJM, including the activation of load control devices. This will begin at 4 p.m. Electric demand is highest during these times, and when demand is high, so are prices. Here's how you can help:

✔️ Use fans instead of lowering the thermostat
✔️ Run the dishwasher, do laundry, and take showers during off-peak hours
✔️ Close the blinds and curtains to block out heat from the sun
✔️ Turn off all unnecessary lights and electronics
