One of the things that makes Atlantic City special is the way our community comes together when it matters most ❤️

The Atlantic City 9/11 Memorial Ceremony was another powerful example of that. Residents, families, first responders, veterans, law enforcement and community leaders stood side by side to remember, honor and make sure we never forget the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

That same spirit of community extends beyond the ceremony. Mayor Marty Small, Sr.’s $25,000 donation to the Saracini-O'Neill Foundation from money raised during his Inaugural Gala is another example of Atlantic City taking care of its own and making sure our local community feels supported.

🏛️ Not just about appearance!

The City of Atlantic City is continuing to make improvements to City Hall, creating a cleaner, more welcoming and functional space for the employees who work there and the residents and visitors who come through its doors.

Recent improvements include completely renovated lobby flooring, exterior painting and the opening of the Great Day Café, operated by local small business Beat the Daily Grind Cafe ☕️

These projects are helping improve the everyday experience at City Hall while also creating opportunities for local businesses to grow and serve our community.

Better spaces. Better experiences. More opportunities for Atlantic City!

As Atlantic City continues to attract new investment, having stronger tools to deal with properties that have been left behind will be an important part of ensuring neighborhoods are positioned to benefit from the city’s broader redevelopment.

The positives in Atlantic City are becoming harder to miss. During a tour of the Orange Loop, U.S. Senator Cory Booker saw firsthand the energy surrounding Atlantic City’s small businesses, new development and growing investment.

Senator Booker highlighted the city’s unique character and the investment now taking place, saying, “Everything that’s going on here is extraordinary. This is one of America’s great, historic cities.”

He also pointed to something increasingly evident across Atlantic City: “I love seeing the investment rushing in here.”

From the Orange Loop to new residential development and small businesses opening their doors, there is plenty of positive momentum happening across the city, and leaders, entrepreneurs and investors from outside Atlantic City are taking notice.

💼 🖤 Atlantic City's Black Business Expo brought together entrepreneurs, business owners and community members for an evening of networking, learning and, most importantly, supporting local businesses.

It was great to see so many vendors have the opportunity to showcase their products and services, meet potential customers and connect with other entrepreneurs. For everyone who attended, the evening was an informative and enlightening look at the talent, creativity and business potential that exists right here in Atlantic City.

Nobody supports Atlantic City’s business community quite like the Small Administration, making small businesses a priority, especially minority-owned businesses.
