📣 Where you at, Bartow County Democrats?!

In the first THREE days of early voting, fewer than 100 Democrats have cast a ballot.

But in May, nearly 4,500 of us showed up to vote in the Primary. We need that energy again — because these runoff races matter.

📣 The June 22 Bartow Democrats meeting is one of the most important meetings we will hold all year — and we need all Democrats living in Bartow County to be there.

At this meeting, members will elect our next Post Holders and our State Convention Delegates.

Why does this matter?

🗳️ Post Holders are the voting members of the Bartow County Democratic Committee. They help shape the direction of our local party — and many of them go on to run for Executive Committee leadership positions during our November elections.

The people elected in June will help shape the future leadership of Democrats in Bartow County.

🏛️ We will also elect delegates to represent Bartow County at the Democratic Party of Georgia State Convention in Savannah this August.

It is important that Bartow County show up with a full delegation and make our voices heard. We want everyone across Georgia to know that Bartow is organized, engaged, growing, and ready to be noticed.

Any Democrat registered to vote in Bartow County can vote in these elections.

Sample ballots are now available on your Georgia My Voter Page, so now is the perfect time to make your voting plan. Runoffs are often decided by a much smaller number of voters, which means every vote matters even more.

Pride Month is a celebration of love, identity, courage, and community — but it also began as a protest.

In June 1969, LGBTQ+ Americans, led in large part by transgender women and activists of color, stood up against discrimination and police harassment at the Stonewall uprising in New York City. Their courage sparked a movement that continues today in the ongoing fight for equality, dignity, and human rights.

More than 50 years later, that fight is far from over.

Across the country, LGBTQ+ Americans — especially transgender youth and their families — are facing attacks on their rights, healthcare, education, and ability to live openly and safely. Here in Georgia and nationwide, elections have real consequences for the protections, freedoms, and opportunities available to our LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors.

Pride is about celebration, but it is also about solidarity and action.

Voting is one of the most powerful tools we have to defend human rights, elect leaders who believe in equality, and build communities where everyone can live authentically without fear.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community — their history, their resilience, and their contributions to our country and our communities. And we recommit ourselves to the work of protecting freedom and justice for all.

Four key statewide Democratic races are headed to a runoff, and the voters who show up will decide who moves on to November.

🗳 What to know:
📅 Election Day: June 16
📬 Absentee ballot request deadline: June 5
✅ If you voted Democratic in the Primary, you can vote in the Democratic runoff
✅ If you did NOT vote in the Primary, you can vote in the runoff
❌ If you voted Republican in the Primary, you cannot vote in the Democratic runoff

Early voting details are coming soon.

Runoffs often have lower turnout — that means every vote carries even more power.
