The Woodstock Lions Club spent the afternoon volunteering at the CURE Foundation hospital, on September 1st, 2026. To help support the incredible work they do for children and families. Service is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact right here in our community.

We are many exciting events taking place including an event for beginners that you can play with your child or grandchild.

All events are DUPR rated EXCEPT the beginner event.

The Woodstock Lions Club had two volunteers work at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Food Pantry Saturday, August 29th. Thank you to Lions' Robert Shull and Paul D. Smith for their service.

Food insecurity is a real issue in Woodstock, GA and surrounding Cherokee County. Patrick Arko and his team from St. Michaels do amazing work serving much needed groceries to those in need. Please consider a donation of canned goods.

The Woodstock Lions Club held their monthly meeting on Monday, August 24th. The guest speaker was Jesse Demonbreun-Chapman, Executive Director of the Coosa River Basin Initiative (CRBI).

Jesse shared insights into CRBI’s work to protect, preserve, and restore the Upper Coosa River Basin, one of North America’s most biologically diverse river systems. (coosa.org⁠)

Club members were excited to learn more about the important work being done to protect our rivers, watersheds, wildlife, and clean water resources. 🌿💧

Lions District 18L Governor Dennis Chapman was in attendance to induct our newest Woodstock Lions Club member Eddie Hidir. We are proud and excited to have Eddie join our Club. Eddie is sponsored by Tom Morrison, our Club's 2nd Vice-President.

Club membership attendance was strong for this meeting.

The Woodstock Lions Clubs' next Club meeting is Monday, August 24th, starting at 6:45 pm, at The Tavern at Towne Lake located in Woodstock, GA.

Our speaker is from the Coosa River Basin Initiative. Jesse Demonbreun-Chapman is the Executive Director and River Keeper. Since 1993 CRBI has protected, preserved and restored of one of the most biodiverse watersheds in North America, the upper Coosa River basin.

The Woodstock Lions Club completed cleanup on Saturday, August 15th, with the City of Woodstock's Adopt-A-Road on Trickum Road from Hwy 92 down to Ragsdale Rd.​

We had nine Lions' volunteer. Thank you Lions' Paul, Frank, Cheryl, Tom, Tracey, Jamal, Samirah, and Jamal & Samirah's two daughers.

We appreciate the time & effort from everyone.
