Since 2012, Gamma Phi Beta has been a true and constant partner to Girls on the Run! From fundraising to coaching to showing up as volunteers, GPhis live their core values of Love, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty with us in every season.

This past year, fundraising efforts from local Gamma Phi Beta chapters through events and other initiatives raised enough to provide the Girls on the Run experience to 41 girls across Georgia this school year.

Because of their dedication, girls feel seen, supported, and inspired to become confident leaders.

A big thank-you to OT Select for selecting Girls on the Run Georgia as the nonprofit beneficiary of State Farm Community Hoops’ “Warming Up with a Cause” program! This generous donation will support 50 girls as they build confidence, connection and joy through Girls on the Run.

Don’t miss your chance to sign your girl up for a season of confidence-building, friendship-building, and fun with Girls on the Run Georgia.

Registration will reopen Friday at 3 PM for teams that still have spots available after the lottery on a first-come, first-served basis.

We’ve spent this summer getting ready for a big fall season, and we couldn’t do it without our incredible volunteers!

Earlier this month, Johnecia, Karissa, and Michealla helped us prepare for the fall season by packing supplies and getting everything ready for our teams. Johnecia and Karissa volunteered with us for the first time, and Michealla brought more than 10 years of Girls on the Run volunteering experience!

For Karissa, the experience was especially meaningful. A Girls on the Run alumna from Woodward North, she was home from college at SCAD in Savannah and was excited to give back to the program that was once such an important part of her own experience. She also enjoyed learning about our new curriculum!

What a great way to kick off the 2026-2027 Girls on the Run Georgia Board of Directors year!

Earlier this month, our Board of Directors came together for their annual retreat, where they had the opportunity to welcome new members, connect with returning members, and strengthen the relationships that will help guide them throughout the year.

Together, they spent time learning, collaborating, and looking ahead at the year to come. We are so grateful for each member’s passion and willingness to invest their time and talents in empowering girls across our communities.

Thank you to our incredible Board of Directors for your time and for making the retreat such a success. We can’t wait to see all that we will accomplish together this year!

Earlier this month, the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company team brought their summer interns together for a community service project supporting Girls on the Run Georgia!

Their interns helped pack 100+ field bags for our Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole teams, along with water bottles for participants, just in time for a big fall season ahead.

Whiting-Turner has been volunteering with Girls on the Run since 2023, traditionally through their Women in Construction community service efforts. This year, they added a new service opportunity for their summer interns, too!

We’re grateful for their continued support and the hands-on work they’re doing to help us get ready for another season. Thank you, Whiting-Turner!
