We're celebrating Georgia Pre-K Week with special activities including guest readers like School Board member-elect Hayden Holcomb, who today read to students in Ralph Bunche Center Pre-K teacher Ida Reynolds’s class. School Board members and Superintendent of Schools Mary Elizabeth Davis are reading to Pre-K classes across the district this week. We serve 4-year-olds in Pre-K classes funded by the Georgia Lottery Pre-K program at seven schools and centers; we also provide Head Start and Special Education preschool programs to eligible children. We're on a mission to be the highest-performing school district in Georgia where our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else!

Our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else! Congratulations to our Student of the Day Tate Nichols, a preschooler at Ralph Bunche Preschool Center, whose hard work and contagious joy make a positive impact every day. Nominated by teacher Deanna Washington, who shared: "Tate brightens our school each day by greeting everyone with a smile. His contagious joy, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for learning make him a wonderful example for others. We are proud of the kindness and excitement he brings to our classroom every day!"
