Nat Spurr for Calhoun County Treasurer

10/27/2026

Over the past 15 1/2 months that I’ve been campaigning for this office, people all over Calhoun County have recognized me as a past overall winner of local races like: the Cereal City Classic, Lakeview HS 10K, YMCA Triathlon, etc.. But people everywhere have also identified and pointed out growth opportunities throughout our county.
As treasurer, I plan to utilize the land bank authority as a leader - to improve our community.

Although I’m the one running for public office right now in Calhoun County, I wouldn’t be here without my Grandmother Irene (Medawis) Wesley, who was Chair of the NHBP Elders Committee, when our tribe regained Federal Recognition in December 1995, and my Mother Laura Wesley Spurr, who was our Tribal Leader at NHBP from 1999 until her death in February 2010. My Mom led a 10-year battle (1999-2009) to take the Sackrider Farmland into federal trust in order to establish, open, and operate the FireKeepers Casino.
They are My Heroes, and there’ll never be another one like either of them, but if I can ever come close, I’ll be happy….
