Congratulations to our three Boothwyn Elementary 4th grade representatives who competed in the DCIU Math24 Competition on May 28th. Samhitha B., Carson A., and Danny B. represented Chichester with true CHI PRIDE. They competed against other 4th and 5th grade students from various Delaware County schools. Samhitha B. earned a bronze medal for the top score in double-digit competition and Danny B. earned a bronze medal for advancing to the semi-final round. Congratulations to our top three, our ENTIRE Boothwyn team, and ALL of our Chichester competitors!

Over the past two years, the support of Boeing and the Chichester Education Foundation has helped propel our STEM and Drone programs to incredible new heights! 🚀

Students are now coding, mastering advanced 3D printing, and designing in professional software. With the addition of a CNC machine students are bringing math concepts to life in powerful, real-world ways.

Our Drone program continues to soar with new milestones. Students are flying industry-grade drones, conducting mock roof inspections, and creating professional-quality media projects. They’ve also stepped into leadership roles—hosting a multi-school drone event, mentoring peers, and competing in skill-based challenges like Top Gun.

None of this would be possible without the collaboration of our amazing partners, including Boeing, Upper Chichester Police, Holt Logistics, Ocean Drones, Drone Edge, and community experts who bring real-world insight into the classroom. 💡✈️

Hilltop was challenged by Mrs. Matijasich to complete one million math problems on IXL this year. The students not only met the challenge they surpassed it by completing 1,035,232 problems! Way to go Hilltop! Students were rewarded with freeze pops for their accomplishment!

Please join us in congratulating the Middle School Math 24 team for competing in the 2026 DCIU Math 24 competition! Taking home bronze medals yesterday for Chi were Nate K., Flynt C., Donnel C. and Laylah P. Today, our 5th graders competed alongside 4th graders from Boothwyn, Marcus Hook and Hilltop. Taking home silver was Jeremiah H.. We are so proud of all our participants! If you see them in the hallway, please congratulate them for a job well done.

On May 20th and 28th dozens of Chichester High school students continued our work on our campus revitalization project. In concert with the Delaware River Keeper Network, Delaware County Conservation District and Trees for Watersheds Program, students planted over 40 trees and shrubs in effort to restore vital floodplain and upland habitat and watershed restoration. This project was part of a grant awarded in effort to protect the Delaware river watershed water quality and prevent flooding and stormwater runoff. Students worked tirelessly and demonstrated strong leadership and cooperation and took pride in their work.
