This is just a reminder that we no longer operate the Warming Center as a place for shelter for the un-housed. The City of Ashtabula shut us down because our first floor was never approved for sleeping. It would require a sprinkler system that costs nearly as much as we paid for the entire building. We pray for the safety of those without shelter at all times, but especially in our harsh winters in Ashtabula.

We want to thank all the people that have helped us get through this winter and provide services to the homeless. We will be shifting to more limited services after 3/31/24. After we discovered that sleeping at our temporary shelter would not be permitted by code, we agreed to close the shelter portion of our project but will offer some of our services moving forward. Beginning on May 1, 2024, we will re-open the North side of the first floor for laundry, showers, Bible study, hygiene product handouts, education, and social service registration. These services will be offered on Mondays and Thursdays from 10AM-2PM. Watch for more updates as we make this transition.

We want to thank the family of Camdyn Probst for the donation of food from his funeral dinner today. It will feed a number of homeless persons as well as residents of Healthy Boundaries where Cam lived before his passing. Thank you also to The Ridge Nazarene Church for being a great support through Cam's spiritual growth.

Here's our enhanced logo that shows more about the Warming Center. We want to publicly thank Ricky Turner for his vision and follow-through on this project - his project. Ricky has the heart to serve and is providing much more than just shelter; he brings in agencies to interview the homeless for jobs, aids them to sign up for needed social services, arranges donations of all types, finds volunteers to help his cause, and so much more.

Welcome to our new page for the community warming and resource center. We will update happenings at the warming center and share needs and successes as we fill a need in our area. We seek to honor Matthew 25:37-40 with our actions and thoughts.
