In Buncombe County, there will be two bond initiatives on the ballot: one to fund open space conservation and one to fund affordable housing.

Join West Asheville Democrats and progressive unaffiliateds for a mid-day picnic BBQ to kick off the last 73 days of the 2026 midterm campaign.

We will have candidates, music and games. This year we will feature gourmet hotdogs (Beef, Veggie, & Poultry). Everyone able is asked to bring side dishes OR dessert (with cards disclosing ingredients if possible).

This will be our fourth annual picnic event. Help make it the biggest and best ever as a launch to the final midterm campaign push!
