Originally formed in 1926, the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce is located in downtown Asheboro, North Carolina, and has over 825 members from throughout the Piedmont Triad. There are 30 members on the Board of Directors, eight of whom serve as officers on the Executive Committee.

From behind-the-scenes insights to hands-on learning, Tourism Day gave the Leadership Randolph Class of 2026 a closer look at an industry that helps shape Randolph County.

Last week, the class visited the North Carolina Zoo and Millstone Creek Orchards | Ramseur, NC while learning more about the role tourism plays in supporting local businesses, creating jobs, and showcasing all that our community has to offer.

A big thank you to Amber Scarlett with Heart of North Carolina Visitors Bureau, the North Carolina Zoo team, and Millstone Creek Orchards for sharing their time, knowledge, and passion with our class.

Days like these are a reminder that great leadership starts with understanding the many pieces that help our community thrive.

Desde conocer lo que sucede detrás de escena hasta el aprendizaje práctico, el Día de Turismo brindó a la Clase de Leadership Randolph 2026 una mirada más cercana a una industria que contribuye de manera significativa al desarrollo de Randolph County.

Member Monday: The WEARhouse & Ink ‘N Stitches👕

Zach Frye, the founder of The WEARhouse, graduated from ECU in 2014 with a graphic design degree and started printing in his parents' garage. Mom eventually wanted her parking spot back, so he found a little shop off Church Street in downtown Asheboro, fell in love with the community, and built something real.

A retail front, an embroidery machine that nearly doubled his business, and a January 2020 partnership with local print shop Ink'n Stitches all played a role in the company’s growth. Today, they operate out of a 10,000 sq ft building backed by 30+ years of combined experience. 🖨️

This is what building something from the ground up looks like. We're proud to recognize The WEARhouse as this week's Member Monday. 🙌

Zach Frye, el fundador de The WEARhouse, se graduó de ECU en 2014 con una carrera en diseño gráfico y empezó a imprimir en el garaje de sus padres. Su mamá eventualmente quería recuperar su espacio de estacionamiento, así que él encontró un pequeño local en Church Street en el centro de Asheboro, se enamoró de la comunidad y construyó algo de verdad.
