The goal of the Henderson State University Summer Institute is to encourage students in pursuing a post-secondary education by enrolling in a college or university. It also has the following four objectives:

To expose high school students to post- secondary education and assist in the transition from high school to college. To expose high school students to Henderson State University as a post-secondary school of choice.
