Thank you to everyone who supported me in my Candidacy in the upcoming Calhoun County Circuit Judge Election! I am overwhelmed by all who have congratulated me and supported my qualifications for the position, as well as my genuine ability to WIN. Indeed, I have complete confidence that my 20+ years as a Trial Lawyer, primarily in Circuit Court, in both Civil and Criminal Cases, qualifies me to run an effective Courtroom, weighing Justice in tune with Mercy. I will, without hesitation, place my legal research and writing skills against any lawyer in Alabama.
Unfortunately, the requirements necessary for me to run a Winning Campaign mean my nights and weekends must be devoted to campaigning. Being the single-father of a six-year-old daughter, who is absolutely “My Whole Wide World”, I cannot in good conscience compromise that time with me she deserves, and that time with her I will never get back; therefore, I am formally withdrawing my Candidacy for the upcoming Calhoun County Circuit Judge Election. I have worked for and against both remaining Candidates and trust whichever side our Voters select, the Calhoun County Circuit Court will remain in good hands.
This is not the end! I WILL BE BACK! Little girls grow up to be big girls and big girls don’t think it is cool to hang out at Dave & Buster’s playing video games, and then go to the movies to watch “Barbie” with their middle-aged daddy. But as long as my little girl thinks it’s cool to be seen with her 50 year old daddy in public, I am going to swim in every minute of it!
Thank you again for your support, and I apologize if I have let anyone down by withdrawing; however, right now, my time away from my Law Firm goes to my daughter. I look forward in the future to directing it to the Bench when the time is right.
