We’ve done the math. We have been worse off financially with each contract we’ve signed over the last 20 years.

Not anymore. This time, WE will dictate what’s fair, not what we’re told is fair by an administration who suddenly finds open checkbooks for high-priced consultants, friendly developers, and electric car rebates - but claims the budget is too tight for our workers who keep this city running.

Stand with us on Monday, June 15th at City Council. It’s time to show them what solidarity looks like.

What makes me happy? Waking up every day ready to fight for the fair contract, retirement security, and safe staffing levels that the workers of this city rightfully deserve.
True happiness isn't passive - it’s standing shoulder-to-shoulder with my fellow union members pushing back against artificial budget lines, and refusing to let management treat working families like a line of credit. AFSCME Michigan AFL-CIO

When front-line municipal workers and public school educators unite, management can no longer hide behind convenient financial excuses. Last night, I had the immense privilege of speaking to the Board of Education to pledge the full support of AFSCME Local 369 for our Ann Arbor teachers. Both of our unions are fighting the exact same battle: demanding dignity, fair compensation, and respect from administrations that expect us to do more with less.

Strong public institutions depend entirely on strong workers. We will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the AAEA until they get the contract they deserve. Stay informed. Stay united. Let's get to work. 💪

As the husband of an Ann Arbor teacher ( ), this issue hits close to our home. But this isn’t about politics. It’s about supporting the people who support our kids every single day.

Before heading to the Ann Arbor teachers rally, stop by Moonwinks Cafe & Tavern for a Teacher Appreciation Happy Hour.

🍻 Wednesday, June 3rd | 4:00–6:00 PM

We’ll donate 20% of all sales during Happy Hour to the Ann Arbor Education Association.

Come together, show your support, then head to the Board of Education rally at 6:15 PM.
