The Angier turnout was much better than the last election. I wanted to personally congratulate Bob Jusnes for Angier Mayor, Sheveil Harmon and Ashley Strickland on their upcoming appointments! You showed that Angier was ready for a change!

Thank you to all my supporters in this election. As most of you know, I was hesitant about entering the race, but those of you who urged me to put my name on the ballot are appreciated. My goals have not changed. Helping Angier to build the small business community through the The Angier Small Business Network (ASBN), reaching out to the forgotten demographic that Tnt Teens Need Too serves, and helping new families buy and sell homes with NC with Lexi Realty powered by Fathom will continue to be my mission!

Navigating through town and observing a considerable number of my signs either defaced, stolen, or uprooted from the ground is undeniably disheartening. While I can't profess astonishment or deep dismay, I find myself genuinely disappointed by this situation.

Why is it that small town political races drive people to stoop to these kind of levels? We have seen it all this year, from verbal attacks and lies spread about candidates, to damaging signs, even trying to shame candidates based on what their children may or may not be doing. It is bizarre.

When riding through town, if you see one of my signs whether it is decorated with mud, lying on the ground please know this: Like these signs, whether or not we are knocked down, thrown mud at, or trying to be silenced - I will continue to help build this community. I would love to be your town commissioner to help bring about the positive changes Angier needs, but I will continue to work towards that either in or out of office.

Happy Halloween! It's the time of year when we don't question seeing Batman walking down the street or a horde of zombies dragging themselves out of the coffee shops.

We also see people putting on costumes once the political season starts. However, there are those, like myself, who have been putting the same work and effort into building Angier long before the voting season and will continue to do so after.

I'm asking you to look at the past few years and consider what candidates have done for the community. I have founded and serve as the head of a nonprofit benefiting our youth. I started the Angier Small Business Network, connecting thousands of business owners in our area. My business is consistently involved in Angier community events and volunteer efforts. I have served on town boards and will continue to support Angier in everything I do.

This year, I'm asking you to check Lex at the polls so that I can continue working for all of Angier.

We are approaching election day. I want to encourage you to make your way to the polls to show support for which ever candidate best aligns with the well-being of yourself, your family, and your business.

So many don't consider this constitutional right a priority but the people put in place will direct the direction of the town for years to come. While I would love your support on November 7, we need Angier to get behind the changes it wants to see.

Last election showed very little involvement from the community, and even if the votes aren't for me, I'd love to see our community involved in it's own future!

I'm inviting you to peek into my personal life. It is important that you know the big reason of why I continue to improve the community that I live in.

My sweet Ava Grace is incredibly intelligent and talented. She made me a mother 6 years ago and her sweet smile can make anyone's day into a good one. Each time I look at her I remember just how lucky I am to have such an amazing daughter. I hope we can always be this close until the end of time.

My 2 year old little Bubba. He could make a statue laugh. He's so full of life, energy and innocence. He's remarkable and refreshing. I know I only have until the time he meets the love of his life to remain his number one girl, so I'm thankful and appreciative of every minute I get. I absolutely love being a mom.

Everyday I work hard to maintain a healthy work/life balance with the support of my family. That's hard, I think for anyone. Just think about being able to literally spend 50% of your lifetime working, making a living, creating something for your kids to have as both support and a positive example. It is a lot to juggle, but I know that I'm doing my best!

As your commissioner I will continue to balance the needs of the residents and families, with the needs of the community and town. Balance is the key to any relationship, business, and... well life in general!

Just under two years ago, Alexa Whittington identified a growing need within the Angier Business Community. Angier was in need of a dedicated group that could facilitate business connections and foster growth. She founded the Angier Small Business Network.

Under Lexi's leadership, ASBN has flourished, now boasting an online community of over 2,000 members and bi-monthly in-person meetings. These businesses have benefited from an extended network of clients, vendors, and support, all thanks to Lexi's unwavering commitment and hard work.

In April of this year, Lexi assembled a capable leadership team to further enhance the network's reach and impact. This same energy and dedication are what Alexa Whittington pledges to bring to the role of town commissioner.

Angier desperately requires a proactive approach to community building. The town deserves representatives who prioritize retaining economic resources within Angier by ensuring the necessary infrastructure is in place to support business growth.

Small town politics can get pretty silly. As a community, we should be pulling together to decide the best representatives that will lead our town in the right direction. We may not all agree completely as to every last detail of that direction. It is my hope that we can all be at least faced the same way.

My idea for a working Angier is one that puts its community first. Not the ego of a representative, not the pet projects with pre-determined vendors, and not a leadership that railroads decisions, knocking over anyone who stands up and challenges them.

I have seen it first hand, and I have been a victim of it. I've stood up for those who weren't appreciated, I have used my voice to oppose decisions that weren't fair. I have advocated for Angier and whether elected or not, I will continue to do so.

When it comes to those representing the town in an official capacity, I hope that you will join me in continuing to put community first and personal political interests second (or not at all).

Alexa Whittington demonstrates unwavering commitment to both building and strengthening her local community. Her dedication to assisting fellow business owners in the Angier area is evident not only in her business practices but also in her outreach efforts.

Alexa is the owner and operator of "NC with Lexi Realty", located in downtown Angier. As a North Carolina native, her compassion for helping individuals and families find their home is evident in every interaction.

A little under two years ago, Alexa recognized the need to unite Angier's business owners to foster mutual growth. Under her leadership, the Angier Small Business Network has successfully recruited over 2,000 members.

But Alexa's dedication doesn't stop there. She founded TNT- Teens Need Too, a nonprofit organization with a mission: to provide essential support to teenagers in one of the most underserved and vulnerable age groups. These individuals are often caught in the transition between state support and adulthood, seeking assistance. TNT operates a variety of outreach programs, including the "Adopt-a-Family for Christmas" initiative, which provided aid to over 100 needy families in 2022.

There are those who tell you what they will do when elected - and then there are those who will just be continuing and expanding on what they are already doing. Which do you want representing you?

My background as a seasoned real estate broker equips me with an in-depth understanding of this growth and what our beloved town needs to thrive.

As your town commissioner, my mission is to be the voice of our community. Being both a business owner and a resident in Angier, I'm uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between these two worlds and champion their respective needs. 🏘️🏢

Our town commissioners and planning boards face a monumental task in the coming years: ensuring our town's infrastructure can keep pace with this explosive growth.

During my tenure on the town Chamber, I championed the cause of new businesses in Angier, advocating even when it meant standing alone. My vision for the Angier business community is grounded in fostering mutually beneficial relationships between Angier residents and business owners.
