Good Evening!
I want to take a minute and say Thank You to my family, friends, supporters, and the residents of Precinct 2 for your trust, encouragement, and your vote. I am truly humbled and honored by your support.
Grimes County is growing, and with that growth comes challenges. I will work with Commissioners Court to make responsible decisions that protect our rural values, support public safety, and keep Precinct 2 moving forward.
Over the next few months, I look forward to working with county leadership, community leaders, first responders, and residents to help ensure a smooth transition and be ready to serve on day one. I believe teamwork makes the dream work!
Whether you voted for me or not, I will work hard for all of Precinct 2.
Thank you again for your support and prayers. The future of Precinct 2 is bright and I’m honored to have been elected to serve in my community!

21 absentee, 267 Early Voting, 300 Election Day = TOTAL: 588 votes (44.31%)

Carter D. Benton
24 absentee, 406 Early Voting, 309 Election Day = TOTAL: 739 votes (55.69%)
