It is that time of year to start our Visual Inspections for 2024. This process started in February with a county fly over by EagleView. We have received the overlay and have been working with this information to identify unreported structural changes to properties.

The statutory area for 2024, aka VI Area 2, that requires an actual visit to each property is the south quarter of our county. This is all real property (land & structurers attached to the land) located in Cement, Cyril, Apache, Township 5N Ranges 9-13 W and Township 6N Ranges 9-13W. We will be working in rural areas first. A timeline for the parcels in towns will be posted as we get closer to those areas.

If you have not seen field deputies yet, you probably will. They will be in marked vehicles for identification; one of which is in our profile picture. If you have property that has locked gates, or aggressive dogs, please contact our office to schedule a time for us to have access to conduct the inspections. Otherwise, we will have to use other means to gain access as provided by law.

Please note, as your Assessor, I will be out & about as well. However, my vehicle is not marked.
