🚨 UPDATE: CHILD LOCATED SAFE 🚨

What started as a report of a missing 4-year-old autistic child in the Fairmont Avenue area of Amsterdam has thankfully come to a safe ending.

Multiple units searched the area, and the child was ultimately located safe on Oakland Avenue.

A huge thank you goes out to Amsterdam Police Department officers, for their quick response, teamwork, and dedication in bringing this incident to a safe resolution.

We’re thankful this little one was found safe and reunited with family. 💙👮‍♂️🚔

Emergency crews have been dispatched to the area of Fairmont Avenue in Amsterdam for a report of a missing 5-year-old autistic child.

According to dispatch, the child was last seen wearing tan shorts, a gray sleeveless shirt, and has curly hair. Responding units are actively searching the area, and additional resources have been requested to assist.

🚨 Welfare Check Underway in Fonda 🚨

All available Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office units have been dispatched to the area of Broadway near Jansen Street and Lower Prospect Street in Fonda for a welfare check involving a 4-year-old child.

According to dispatch traffic, a caller reported concerns that the child may be locked inside a bedroom and may be malnourished. The child is believed to be at the residence with his mother. Deputies are responding to investigate the report and check on the child’s well-being.

At this time, these are allegations reported to dispatch and have not been confirmed by law enforcement.

APD OFFICER dispatched to the area of Lincoln Avenue to speak with a caller who believed someone had been inside her vehicle.

At the time of the report, it was unknown if anything had been taken or was missing from the vehicle. Officers were requested to respond and speak with the caller regarding the complaint.

Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputy vs Dog Incident dash cam footage out now.

Here is the video that has been circulating showing a Fulton County Sheriff’s deputy involved in an incident where a dog reportedly charged at or attempted to attack him.

At this time, I do not personally know all of the facts, circumstances, or events that led up to what is shown in the video. I am not taking sides and I am not making any judgments regarding anyone involved.

I am simply sharing the video that is currently being circulated so members of the community can view it for themselves.

🚓 Police Activity – Amsterdam

APD officers responded to the area of East Main Street and Morris Street following reports of a male and female arguing.

According to radio traffic, the caller reported the male had left the area on foot with a child. Officers obtained a description of the individual and advised they believed they had located a possible match nearby.

Officers made contact with the individual in the area of East Main Street and Morris Street while continuing their investigation.

🚓 Sheriff’s Office Activity – Fort Plain

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of State Highway 10 in Fort Plain, for a male who was described as semi-conscious.

According to radio traffic, the male was somewhat conscious but not fully alert, and alcohol was believed to be a contributing factor.

The male was later transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for evaluation. A short time later, deputies advised they had the male on board from St. Mary’s Hospital for a voluntary transport.

Units subsequently cleared the incident.

🚓 Sheriff’s Office Activity – Palatine Bridge

Deputies were advised of a follow-up regarding an ongoing animal-related case in the area of State Highway 5 across from Lee Publications in Palatine Bridge.

According to radio traffic, a female involved with the case wished to check on the animals and feed them. Dispatch advised that Deputy Roble had previously informed her that she was permitted to feed and water the animals, however a deputy must be present while she is on the property.

The deputy acknowledged the information and the request.

🚓 Police Activity – Amsterdam

APD officers were dispatched to check the area of Jay Street and James Street for a black Nissan Pathfinder with Florida license plates reportedly being operated in an erratic manner.

The vehicle was last reported in the area, and officers were requested to check for it.
