Good evening, families;
As we prepare for graduation and promotion, we want to provide information regarding the location of both ceremonies.
Over the past several days, we have carefully monitored the weather forecast and discussed a variety of options due to the variability in predicted wind conditions, particularly because forecasts have differed across weather sources. Our primary concern has been the safety of our students, families, staff, and guests, especially if large event tents were used.
After reviewing the forecast and consulting with our maintenance team, we have determined that both graduation and promotion will be held on the football field as planned. To address the safety concerns associated with the potential wind conditions, tents will not be used.
Because of the open nature of the field and the need to maintain clear sightlines and a safe environment for all attendees, we respectfully ask that umbrellas not be used during the ceremonies.
We understand how important it is to our students and community to celebrate these milestones on the football field, and we are excited to honor our graduates and promoting eighth-grade students in that setting. We encourage guests to come prepared for a variety of weather conditions, including sun, wind, light rain, or cooler temperatures.
