Go with the Flow: Cancer Awareness Go with the Flow is an art project advocating cancer awareness. Proceeds are donated to music and art therapies for cancer patients of MSK.

Like baby turtles tumultuously seek the sea, cancer victims know life's struggle all too well...yet they fight to survive! Samantha Fay, a Lehigh Valley native artist, was inspired by her Mother, Cynthia, to create this project in 2015, when Cynthia was battling thyroid and bone cancers. Although she was in constant pain and her mobility was limited for several years, Cynthia's strength and tenaci

ty reminded her daughter, Samantha, that life must go on. We must GO WITH THE FLOW!

2015 was a trying year, and Cynthia passed on August 16, 2015 in the good care of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. This project has evolved into a therapeutic process for Samantha, and she is determined to see the Go with the Flow movement take off! For Cynthia, and all those fighting cancer, let's bring the turtles to life and set them free into the world, spreading awareness and joy! Let's join hands in researching a cure! Let's inspire everyone to live life and Go with the Flow!

This 30” x 40” painting, encased in a custom gold-color frame, was made in honor of cancer patients everywhere, struggling to survive, taking it day by day, but understanding the meaning of living life to the fullest, going with the flow and taking on whatever comes their way. The yellow (bone cancer) in the middle represents light, in the center of the cancer ribbon (thyroid) background, which resembles the tide the turtles are riding on. Turtles have tough shells, and on some you will see colors representing all the different kinds of cancers. Go with the Flow is meant to emote strength, gracefulness, and positivity. Dedicated to cancer fighters everywhere - stay strong and live life!
