I work primarily for American Indian & Alaska Native tribes, organizations, & communities in their efforts to protect their sovereignty, natural and cultural resources, and traditions. Upon retirement in December 2017, after over 40 years of Federal service, I established this LLC primarily to work for American Indian and Alaskan Native tribes, organizations, and communities, specializing in tribal relations, environmental and historic preservation compliance (NEPA, Clean Water and River and Harbors Acts, the National Historic Preservation Act, and the Endangered Species Act). I listen and learn, then assist tribes with communicating their knowledge, ideas, and concerns to Federal agency and Congressional staff and their respective decision makers. I help tribal clients interpret Federal laws, regulations, and policies, and provide insights on how to be partners for Federal water resources development projects, and how to best engage with the Federal government to protect Indian rights, communities, and people from the adverse impacts of Federal agency actions. I review Federal NEPA documents for Tribal Nations.
