I'm a proud New Mexican—born and raised—with a deep-rooted passion for caring for others and serving my community. I've been a Registered Nurse since 2011, and my career has taken me through some of the most challenging and rewarding corners of healthcare. I began in the state’s only Level 1 Trauma Center, where I worked in the Trauma Surgical Burn Intensive Care Unit (TSBICU), gaining invaluable

experience in critical care and trauma nursing. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching and mentoring nurses at every stage—from students in the classroom and clinical settings to new graduates in residency programs. Education is one of my greatest passions, and today I continue that work as a clinical educator, clinical coordinator, and flight nurse. Beyond the bedside and classroom, I stay actively involved in advancing nursing and supporting my community. I serve as the President of the PTO at my children’s school and sit on the board of our local AACN chapter, where I help advocate for excellence in critical care nursing. I’m a wife, a mom of two, a lifelong learner, and someone who believes deeply in the power of compassion, education, and community. My mission—whether in the air, at the bedside, or in the classroom—is always the same: to help others thrive.

The Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is widely regarded as the gold 💛 standard for trauma education 🏫 among nurses nurse 👨‍⚕️ 👩‍⚕️ Developed by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), TNCC provides a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to trauma 🩸 care that enhances critical thinking and rapid assessment skills. It combines expert instruction with realistic simulations, allowing nurses to build confidence in managing life-threatening injuries.

TNCC equips healthcare professionals with standardized, systematic methods like the primary and secondary trauma assessments, 🩺 ensuring optimal care during the most critical moments. The course fosters teamwork and communication, which are essential in high-pressure trauma scenarios. As a result, TNCC-certified nurses are more prepared, more skilled, and more valuable to their healthcare teams—making TNCC the best choice for trauma nursing education.

TNCC is not just designed for nurses- Medics and Respiratory Therapists benefit as well, although a provider card will not be given at the end of the course, medics and Respiratory Therapists will earn C.E.s

It has been one of the greatest privileges of my career to stand beside you—whether in the trenches of patient care, guiding you through your first shift, or watching you grow into the kind of nurse others look up to.

You have taught me as much as I’ve ever tried to teach you. I’ve witnessed your bravery in moments of uncertainty, your grace under pressure, and the way you show up—not just for patients, but for each other. That spirit is what makes this profession so powerful.

To those I’ve mentored, know that I have always believed in your ability to rise. Watching you flourish has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. And to all my colleagues—you are my inspiration, my support, and my professional family.
