Giving THANKS to all those who made our Fall 2021 Cedar Creek Watershed Project Networking Event such a wonderful evening!
41 in-person attendees took time to enjoy a meal sponsored by Monroe County Farm Bureau and locally catered by Jim and Charlie's Affiliated Foods. Live ZOOM attendees also joined online and by call-in. Joe Pyle/SCIACC WMA Chair and Monroe Co SWCD Commissioner welcomed everyone. Cedar Creek Watershed/SCIACC WMA history and project update reports were given by Janelle K Randau/SCIACC WMA Project Coordinator and James Martin/Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship SE IA Watershed Coordinator. Conservation PROfessionals hosted a very interesting PRO Panel Q&A, including: J. Martin, Jeremy Cochran/Iowa Department of Natural Resources District Forester, Jason Steele/U.S. Department of Agriculture - NRCS Soil Scientist, JD Hollingsworth/NRCS Soil Health Specialist, Ron Peterson/IDALS Conservation Technician-Monroe Co, and Shane Weinberg/Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever in Iowa Farm Bill Biologist.
