HOUSING
• Vet House offers emergency housing (four beds, up to ninety-day occupancy) and transitional housing (28 beds, up to nine-month occupancy) for veterans facing homelessness.
• Connors House offers permanent house for senior citizen veterans with disabilities.
• Seven locations in Albany at Clinton Avenue, Elk Street, and Second Street are varied housing options for individuals and families.
JOB PLACEMENT
• Connects veterans with local veteran-friendly employers
• Assists with resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills
• Helps veterans connect with educational benefits
PEER SUPPORT
• Connects veterans with Capital Region veteran-friendly events via a comprehensive calendar
• Leads a peer leadership academy so we can better communicate and empathize with veterans, especially post-9/11 combat veterans
• Our staff maintains a strong social media presence, completes outreach, and attends gatherings such as conferences and trainings
