🌟 Staff Spotlight: Justine, Lead Behavior Technician 🌟

We’re excited to highlight our incredible Lead Behavior Technician, Justine!

Justine became a Registered Behavior Technician in September 2021 and has been an essential part of our center’s success for 4 years! She truly is the glue that holds everything together. From training new staff and providing ongoing behavior support to stepping in wherever she’s needed most, Justine consistently goes above and beyond.

Not only is she highly skilled in her clinical role, but she’s also our go-to problem solver. Whether it’s fixing something around the center or troubleshooting tech issues, Justine’s handy and tech-savvy skills keep everything running smoothly. On top of that, she brings creativity into her work by making engaging, thoughtful materials for our clients.

Justine also excels in communication, building strong, positive relationships with parents and caregivers. Her flexibility and dedication shine through in her scheduling efforts—she works hard to ensure that staff needs are balanced while making sure every child continues to receive consistent, high-quality services.

We are so grateful to have Justine on our team. Her dedication, creativity, and heart make a lasting impact every single day!

You aren't just implementing behavior plans; you are a primary architect of their independence. 🌟STAFF SPOTLIGHT!🌟

Brooke Strawn, M.S., BCBA, LBA
Clinical Supervisor

Brooke earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Central Michigan University in May 2022 and her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Wayne State University in May 2024.

Brooke started with Thrive July 2, 2024 as a QBHP, supervising clients at the clinic. She took on her roll headfirst, getting to know the kiddos and families of Thrive. Brooke then passed her BCBA exam on May 25, 2025. We are so proud of Brooke and how much she cares about the children and young adults that she serves.

She has a special place in her heart for working with the littles. Brooke loves being part of those early moments — first words, new skills, growing confidence — and watching her learners blossom over time. There is nothing better than seeing hard work turn into proud smiles and big milestones.

Brooke, we are truly blessed by your presence, energy, and love you put into the work that you do with our kiddos and staff. She is a true leader and passionate about the work she does!

Thrive has some exciting news! 👏🏼

As of February 11, 2026, we will be contracting with Huron Behavioral Health for ABA services!

This was one of our goals when we opened and began our contract with Tuscola Behavioral Health Services!

We are so excited to work with and watch new kiddos grow! 🌳 🦋 💕

To the mom running her child to ABA therapy while her friends are driving their children to soccer practice. You're not alone.

To the mom carrying around a PECS book. You rock!

To the dad avoiding milestones conversations with his friends because his child is years behind. Your child is perfect just the way he is.

To the mom embarrassed by her son's screams at the grocery store. I've been there too. No later than yesterday.

To the mom at her computer researching what kind of therapy is best for her child. Your child is lucky to have you as his advocate.

To the dad afraid of taking his child to a restaurant, park or any kind of public places. I know, it's difficult.

To the mom still mourning the dream of taking her son to the cinema or baseball practice. It may not happen how you pictured it but it will.

To the dad feeling silly because he celebrated when his son said "buh" for bubbles. Every single victory is worth celebrating. Open up that champagne!

To the mom holding in her tears after another therapy report that makes her feel like her child is not progressing. Don't lose hope!

To the dad wishing his daughter would talk. Me too... you're not alone.

When you feel hopeless, when you're struggling to keep going. Remember that you're not alone. When you feel like nobody notices you unless your child is screaming. When you're wondering how you're going to do it any longer. I want you to remember, that you're doing an amazing job. You love your child, you're doing the best you can. When you feel like nobody understands what you're going through. Remember that I do and there are a lot of us out there.
It's ok to have bad days. We all do. To all the moms and dads out there who are trying their hardest to give their children the best life possible despite the circumstances, you are amazing and you child knows it even if he/she can't say it.
