Just wrapped up Tactical Officer Survival School’s (TOSS) Multiple Platform Fi****ms Instructor Course led by Tom and Jabo Long — and it did not disappoint.

This course pushed skill, mindset, and accountability to another level. From fundamentals to advanced application across multiple weapon systems, every rep had a purpose. The instruction was top-tier, real-world, and immediately applicable for those in law enforcement.

🏃‍♂️ Sign Up for the Line of Duty Memorial Race

Join us in downtown Amory for the Northeast Mississippi Line of Duty Memorial Race 5K, a meaningful run honoring officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Participants can register for the 5K Memorial Race, the Be the Badge Challenge, or take part in both events.

💪 The Be the Badge Challenge is a short interactive course around Frisco Park with strength stations at each corner including air squats, pushups, jumping jacks, burpees, and a farmer’s carry to the finish. It is not timed and there are no awards. It is all about participation and having fun.

👮‍♂️ Kids can participate in the challenge too, making it a great way for families to get involved and show support.

If you register for the 5K, you can add the Be the Badge Challenge at no additional cost.

Even if you cannot attend, you can still support the event by ordering the official race t shirt during registration.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy is proud to host an Instructor Development School on February 23–26, 2026, in Aberdeen, MS.

This course is designed for officers looking to become certified instructors and strengthen their teaching skills. Participants will gain hands-on experience in lesson planning, classroom management, instructional techniques, and effective use of training equipment. Upon successful completion, attendees will receive their State of Mississippi Instructor Certification.

If you’ve been thinking about starting your law enforcement career while still balancing work and family life, this flexible evening academy is the perfect opportunity.

📅 Pre-Entry PT Test Dates:
• Saturday, December 13, 2025 – 1:00 PM
• Saturday, January 10, 2026 – 1:00 PM

💰 Costs:
• Tuition: $500
• Skills Update: $100
• Refresher Course: $500

⏰ Class Schedule:
Evenings from 1800–2200, typically 3–4 days a week, with some weeks requiring additional days, including select Saturdays.
